Race Day InformationWhat You Need To Know

The first of its kind, the Ultra Beast will be the world's first marathon distance Obstacle Race. It will be ONE heat that will feature two loops of the main Beast course. Racers will face the toughest course Spartan Race can bring, TWICE, before finding the finish line. It's not for the faint of heart! For your own safety and for the competitive nature of the event, you will have to apply for acceptance in the Ultra Beast Marathon.

Still interested in participating? Send an email with your race resume and three sentences about why you want to take on the Ultra Beast Marathon to ultrabeast@spartanrace.com. Upon acceptance, selected participants will be notified by email and given further details & registration instructions by Spartan Race.

Wondering about how to compete in the Beast AND take on the Ultra Beast Marathon? You have to get accepted for the Ultra Beast Marathon before you can take part. So, register for the Beast and also apply for the Ultra Beast Marathon by following the above directions. IF your accepted for the Ultra Beast, you'll be given details on your options and pricing for both events.

When: September 22nd 2012

Distance: 26.2(ish) miles

Start Times: Start time TBD.  There will be ONE Ultra Beast Heat.

Aid Stations: This race will be largely unsupported.  One aid station will be on course with water and/or sports drinks at an undisclosed location on the course. 

All Racers Receive:

  - One of a kind T-Shirt that will never be sold and can only be earned
  - Free Beer ticket for anyone 21 and over
  - DJ Entertainment
  - Tired legs from climbing up and down the mountain

Spectators: Spectator tickets are $15 and sold onsite (please bring cash, limited Credit Card services are available). As a Spartan Race spectator, you get $5 Spartan bucks redeemable at the merchandise tent, a festival map, and rad access to some obstacles on the course, the epic Gladiator pit and finish line, and the vendor tents! So enjoy the live music and watching your friends and loved ones slip and slide through the Spartan course in the safety and comfort (and relative mudlessness) of the Spartan Race festival ground areas! Raffles, entertainment, free muddy hugs from Spartan athletes, and all the other festival perks make this the best $15 you'll ever spend and we promise the next ticket you will want to buy will be a race entry!
