exit' at around mile 3. This will also serve as the ultimate
test of resolve for those who plan on doing the full event. Each
racer will have to confront the choice between luxury and relaxation
or facing 5 more miles of HELL. You are welcome to plan on only
doing the 3 mile section of course but the price remains the
same and you will not receive an official time. You will
still receive a T-shirt and medal (just not the same medal one
as those completing the full course).
Spectators: Spectator tickets are $15 and sold onsite (please bring cash, limited Credit Card services are available). As a Spartan Race spectator, you get $5 Spartan bucks redeemable at the merchandise tent, a festival map, and rad access to some obstacles on the course, the epic Gladiator pit and finish line, and the vendor tents! So enjoy the live music and watching your friends and loved ones slip and slide through the Spartan course in the safety and comfort (and relative mudlessness) of the Spartan Race festival ground areas! Raffles, entertainment, free muddy hugs from Spartan athletes, and all the other festival perks make this the best $15 you'll ever spend and we promise the next ticket you will want to buy will be a race entry!

Race Director's NotesMessage from Mike
3/23/11: My wife and her family are from Texas. The more time I spend there the more I learn to appreciate a few key things. Specifically, Texas is big, it’s hot, and just because someone is fixin’ something doesn’t necessarily mean it’s broken. Glen Rose is home to real Dinosaur tracks, the Rough Creek Lodge, and soon thousands of Spartans fixin’ to battle this fast and fun course set around the Lodge. The first weekend in December promises awesome racing weather – much less chance of heat stroke when racing in 50 degree temps. Compared to some of our other courses this is relatively flat, but there are still some quick ups and downs, super-cool technical sections, river crossings, and big, Texas style obstacles. You will get wet, your lungs will burn, and you will have an awesome story to brag to your buddies about after finishing this course. I highly recommend grabbing one of the few rooms available at the lodge and treating yourself to a relaxing stay before and after the race. Be sure to register for the 9am heat if you want to race the best and have a shot at the title. Keep checking back for updates!

CrossFit Waco is a gym unlike any other gym in our area. We do not have machines. We do not have fancy televisions on treadmills, or even a “Cardio Cinema” room. We do not even have air conditioning. We use constantly varied, full functional body movements executed at a high intensity throughout our WODS (Workout of the Day). Our program will deliver you a fitness level that cannot be matched. Free classes to Spartan racers every Saturday at 9am.
Spartan Race and Camp Gladiator are working together to ensure you are ready to go for the baddest, dirtiest, most challenging race ever. Camp Gladiator is the state’s largest fitness camp and has over 100 locations in DFW and more than 45 in Austin! When signed up, one can literally attend any and all locations as much as they want. Come try and keep up with the Camp Gladiator contenders on free Saturday workouts so that you can dominate the other Spartans on December 3rd. Visit our website at www.campgladiator.com
The Spartan Race is one of the hardest races around and requires something deep within in-order to finish. X-Train realizes the mental and physical challenges that each individual goes through when taking on an obstacle like this and that is why the X-Train Fitness Community has devised a FREE 4 session program geared in helping each individual achieve optimal mental and physical toughness. Our program will teach you how to push through barriers, how to grasp the concept of digging deep, we will build strength, core, power and endurance. We will give you all the tools needed in-order to become a champion, like many other of our members. First class will begin November 5th @ 11:15am at the X-Train Facility. ( 917 West Anderson Ln, Austin Tx 78750 ).In order to take part in this training program, you must bring documentation of Spartan Race registration as well as picture I.D.
