Strength comes in numbers! Become part of a team to help yourself and others get through the event, save money, and support our troops.

How does it work?

Register as a team and add members! The more people you can get to join your team, the more money you will get back in your pocket! We will give you a percentage off of your registration fees. So you will be rewarded, before you even finish the race.

How many people are needed to make a team?

Teams are unlimited with a minimum of four people! Team members are timed individually and are not required to cross the finish line together.

Which team takes home the prizes?

The fastest 4 times of the team will be used to calculate the team's finishing time. Prizes will be awarded to the team who finishes on top!

Race DetailsWhat You Need To Know

When: June 4th, 2011

Distance: Right around 3 miles, fastest time should be around 30 minutes.

Start Times: Heats start at 9am with up to 250 racers and continue every 30 minutes throughout the day. Enter the 9am “Elite” heat if you want to be as competitive as possible and race against the best.

Aid Stations: None… hydrate before or carry your own water on the course.

All Racers Receive:

- Finishers Medal
- T-Shirt
- Free Beer ticket for anyone 21 and over
- Free Mud
- Tired legs from climbing up and down the mountain
- Bragging Rights

Lockers: Tuxedo Ridge has 100 first-come, first-serve self-service lockers available to racers. They will cost $2.00 (cash only, please) and are smaller in size for holding a small bag. They are available in the basement of the lodge and cannot be reserved. These are perfect for those Spartans who will be going to battle alone and need a place to store a car key, etc. Please note that Spartan Race or Tuxedo Ridge is not responsible for lost or stolen items.

No coolers or grills will be allowed at the Race Site. Lots of great food will be for sale – cash only please.

5/16/11 - Had great success at Atlanta race with our Bucket Brigade so you can expect that on course. 5 gallon buckets filled with dirt are heavier than they look, especially when climbing up and down the mountain. We've already place the order for some crushed stone instead of dirt. Why? Because we can.

A few new ideas in the works, such as the chariots of fire. We'll let your imagination think about what that could include. Bringing in 60 yards of extra dirt just to make our barbed wire crawl extra muddy.

Soul-demolishing hills lay in wait at the Tuxedo Ridge Ski Center. Speed is going to have to be balanced against endurance with these elevation changes and gradients. Won't be surprised to see more than a few lead packers sucking wind and clenching sides at the side of the trail. This course screams GUTS and INSANE. Try and crush it and it will crush you if you don't have what it takes.

For the elevation is just the start of your problems. Can't figure out what we like most: the 40-yard uphill barbed wire crawl or the 100 yard up and downhill tire carry. Knees will buckle beneath many.

Beautiful natural features of the area integrate with the course, such as sections composed entirely of boulders (aka ankle-eaters) that will keep you off-camber as you transverse along the contour line of the mountain.

BUS FROM NYC: On Saturday, June 4th, CoachUSA is offering a round-trip bus service from the Port Authority in NYC. It will depart NYC at 9:10am and leave Tuxedo Ridge at 4:43pm. Only those racing in the 12:30, 1:00, 1:30, or 2:00 heats should consider taking this bus. You must buy roundtrip tickets in advance online here.
