Race Day InformationWhat You Need To Know

When: August 17th 2013

Distance: It's a 5km race, fastest time should be around 30 minutes. Longest times will be over 1 hour.

Start Times: Starting at 8am, waves of 200 athletes will be released every 15 minutes across 5 groups (Elite, Confirmed, Morning, Afternoon, Late Afternoon). YOUR exact start time in the group you registered for will be posted here a few days prior to event date. Want to know more details? Read our FAQ.

Aid Stations: There will be 5 aid stations on-course. Come prepared, make sure you're properly hydrated!

Parking: Parking available inside Kualoa Ranch.  Please do not park on both sides of highway.

Spectators: $20 on site. As a Spartan Race spectator, you'll receive $5 Spartan bucks redeemable at the merchandise tent, entry to the rocking festival area, a festival grounds map, access to some of the obstacles on course, not to mention the epic Gladiator pit and finish line. Enjoy the music and watch your friends and loved ones slip and slide through the Spartan course in the relative safety and comfort of the Spartan Race festival grounds! You can also test your fitness in our festival challenges including the Pull-Up Challenge, Slosh Pipe Challenge, Kaiser Challenge and Traverse Wall Challenge. Beware, the next ticket you'll want to buy might have you standing on the Spartan starting line!

How does it work?

Register as a team and add members! The more people you can get to join your team, the more money you will get back in your pocket! We will give you a percentage off of your registration fees. So you will be rewarded, before you even finish the race.

How many people are needed to make a team?

Teams are unlimited with a minimum of four people! Team members are timed individually and are not required to cross the finish line together.

Which team takes home the prizes?

The fastest 4 times of the team will be used to calculate the team's finishing time. Prizes will be awarded to the team who finishes on top! Interested? Learn more here...

Hurricane Heat AvailableRun with the Spartan race Founders & Staff

The Spartan Hurricane Heat is a special opportunity that gives athletes the chance to meet and run with the Founders and staff of Spartan Race in a unique and memorable way. Usually held early Saturday morning or Friday night (Head lamps and glow sticks required!), you'll be put on a team, and you'll finish as a team. No timing chips, no clock, no bells and whistles.

We'll run the course backwards, sideways, or while carrying our buddies, but one thing is for certain: no two Hurricane Heats will be the same. This is what Spartan Race is all about… getting up when you’re knocked down and finishing what you start.

 

Successful finishers earn Hurricane Heat dogtags, a finisher shirt, a Hurricane Heate badge, entry into a closed networking group, and the chance to build relationships that will last well beyond the finish line.

 

Start time: Arrive Saturday morning at 5:30am, be ready to go at 6:00am SHARP. Don't be late!

Race Packet Pick-Up Friday August 16th - Kualoa Ranch

Friday August 16th between 2pm and 6pm at Kualoa Ranch. You can also pick up race packets on race days but we recommend you arrive 45 minutes before your race starting time.

Spartan Race is not only limited to adult fun! Bring the kids who can participate in their very own Jr. Spartan race.  They will enjoy the thrill of the run, a variety of scaled down obstacles and their own mini festival area filled with games and children's challenges! Our mission is to inspire children to develop a love for fitness at an early age.

 

Entry fee is $25.00 Per Child ages 4-13.  The course is about a 1⁄2 mile filled with junior obstacles for children 4-9 and 1 mile for kids 10-13.  Each child will receive a T-shirt and Finisher's Medal with 100% of the Jr. Spartan Adventure profit proceeds benefiting the local kid charities.
