Race Day InformationWhat You Need To Know

When: November 10th, 2012

♦BONUS♦: The Gulf Coast Sprint will be one of the most unique Spartan Race events in our circuit. It will be the second "founders race" we'll do in 2012. It will be old school Raw... And will make anyone who embarks a Spartan for life.

Distance: Around 4 miles. Fastest time = 35 minutes.

Start Times: Heats start at 8am with up to 250 racers and continue every 30 minutes throughout the day. Enter the 8am "Elite" heat if you want to be as competitive as possible and race against the best. Competitive Heat + $10 is at 8am.

Aid Stations: 1-2

All Racers Receive:

- Finishers Medal
- T-Shirt

- A chance to do things you would never choose to do on your own
- Bragging Rights

Parking: $10

Spectators: Spectators enter free and this event! Normally we have a $15 Spectator Fee, but that is being waived for this race... spread the word!

How does it work?

Create a team or join a team! The more people on a team, the more money everyone will get back in their pocket! Each team member will receive a discount, refunded to the method of payment used, a few days prior to race day. The discount escalates as the team size increases, so get more friends to join your team and everyone saves more money!

How many people are needed to make a team?

Teams are unlimited with a minimum of four people! Team members are timed individually and are not required to cross the finish line together.

Which team takes home the prizes?

The fastest 4 times of the team will be used to calculate the team's finishing time. Prizes will be awarded to the team who finishes on top! Interested? Learn more here...

Hurricane Heat AvailableRun with the Spartan race Founders & Staff - FRIDAY EVENING

The Spartan Hurricane Heat is a special opportunity that gives athletes the chance to meet and run with the Founders and staff of Spartan Race in a unique and memorable way. Usually held early Saturday morning or Friday night (Head lamps and glow sticks required!), you'll be put on a team, and you'll finish as a team. No timing chips, no clock, no bells and whistles.

We'll run the course backwards, sideways, or while carrying our buddies, but one thing is for certain: no two Hurricane Heats will be the same. This is what Spartan Race is all about… getting up when you’re knocked down and finishing what you start.

Successful finishers earn Hurricane Heat dogtags, a finisher shirt, a Hurricane Heate badge, entry into a closed networking group, and the chance to build relationships that will last well beyond the finish line.

Start time: Arrive Friday evening, November 9th, prior to 6:00pm, and be ready to go at 6:30pm SHARP. Don't be late! It will be dark when we finish, so come prepared. Headlamps mandatory.

Spartan Kids RaceSpartan Racing For Kids

Jr. Spartan | 0.5 miles

Varsity Spartan | 1 mile

Spartan Race is not only limited to adult fun! Bring the kids ages 4-13 who can participate in their very own Jr. Spartan race. They will enjoy the thrill of the run, a variety of scaled down obstacles and their own mini festival area filled with games and children's challenges! Our mission is to inspire children to develop a love for fitness at an early age.

The course is about a 1⁄2 mile filled with junior obstacles for Jr. Spartans and 1 mile for Varsity Spartans. Each child will receive a T-shirt and Finisher's Medal with 100% of the Jr. Spartan Adventure proceeds benefiting the Kids Fit Foundation.

As a leader in the movement to help children learn life-long health and fitness habits, the Kids Fit Foundation strives to raise awareness and develop programs that educate, empower and inspire kids to become and stay fit.

Spartan Kids’ heats go off between 12pm and 1pm.
