Access to the Spartan Race will be at Fort Carson Gates 5 & 20. Follow signs to parking lots from gate. Please make sure to bring a government issued ID along with the vehicle's current registration

Race Day InformationWhat You Need To Know

When: May 4th and 5th 2013

Distance: Military Sprint distance will be approximately 4 miles give or take a few extra special forces surprises!

Obstacles:  This Military Sprint will be similar to the Spartan Sprint with additional obstacles designed by the 4th Infantry and Specials Forces units.  A big difference is this race has its own rules and rankings which is why it will also have VERY unique Military medals and a different T-shirt.

Start Times: Starting at 8am, waves of 200 athletes will be released every 15 minutes across 5 groups (Elite, Confirmed, Morning, Afternoon, Late Afternoon). YOUR exact start time in the group you registered for will be posted here a few days prior to event date. Want to know more details? Read our FAQ.

Aid Stations: 2 aid stattions on course sponsored by Snap Infusion.

Please note that pets, coolers, or grills are not allowed within the main event area. Spectators are welcome (subject to same parking fee).

Parking: Parking at Fort Carson is Free for our event. We will be providing shuttles to take all racers and spectators to and from the race venue. Cost of Shuttles is $5 per person. CASH ONLY! Please feel free to use our Facebook wall to set up carpooling!!

Spectators: Spectator tickets are $25 onsite (please bring cash, limited Credit Card services are available) OR you can register online for only $20. As a Spartan Race spectator, you get $5 Spartan bucks redeemable at the merchandise tent, a festival map, and rad access to some obstacles on the course, the epic Gladiator pit and finish line, and the vendor tents! So enjoy the live music and watching your friends and loved ones slip and slide through the Spartan course in the safety and comfort (and relative mudlessness) of the Spartan Race festival ground areas! Raffles, entertainment, free muddy hugs from Spartan athletes, and all the other festival perks make this the best money you'll ever spend and we promise the next ticket you will want to buy will be a race entry!

Strength comes in numbers!   Become part of a team to help yourself and others get through the event, save money, and support our troops.

How does it work?

Create a team or join a team! The more people on a team, the more money everyone will get back in their pocket! Each team member will receive a discount, refunded to the method of payment used, a few days prior to race day. The discount escalates as the team size increases, so get more friends to join your team and everyone saves more money!

How many people are needed to make a team?

Teams are unlimited with a minimum of four people! Team members are timed individually and are not required to cross the finish line together.

Which team takes home the prizes?

The fastest 4 times of the team will be used to calculate the team's finishing time. Prizes will be awarded to the team who finishes on top! Interested? Learn more here...

The top 3 male and top 3 female finishers in our ELITE wave on Saturday will take home $2,000 for 1st Place, $1,000 for 2nd Place, and $750 for 3rd Place respectively.

Varsity Spartan | 1 mile

 

Spartan Race is not only limited to adult fun! Bring the kids ages 4-13 who can participate in their very own Jr. Spartan race. They will enjoy the thrill of the run, a variety of scaled down obstacles and their own mini festival area filled with games and children's challenges! Our mission is to inspire children to develop a love for fitness at an early age.

 

The course is about a 1⁄2 mile filled with junior obstacles for Jr. Spartans and 1 mile for Varsity Spartans. Each child will receive a T-shirt and Finisher's Medal with 100% of the Jr. Spartan Adventure proceeds benefiting the Kids Fit Foundation.

 

As a leader in the movement to help children learn life-long health and fitness habits, the Kids Fit Foundation strives to raise awareness and develop programs that educate, empower and inspire kids to become and stay fit.

 

Spartan Kids’ heats go off between 12pm and 1pm.
