Spartan Race is proud to kick off their 2013 stadium events with Citi Field in NYC.  Citi Field, it is the home baseball park of Major League Baseball's New York Mets; Citi Field will host the Major League Baseball All-Star Game in July 2013. We're looking forward to exploring all the great new spaces available at this marquee park.

The sound system will be pumping while the big video boards show live shots from the event.

Citi Field is easy to reach via mass transit systems such as the New York City Subway

Race Day InformationWhat You Need To Know

When: April 13th, 2013

Distance: 3 miles, fastest time should be around 40 minutes. Longest times will be close to 2 hours. This is a chip-timed event.

Start Times: Starting at 8am, waves of 200 athletes will be released every 15 minutes across 5 groups (Elite, Confirmed, Morning, Afternoon, Late Afternoon). YOUR exact start time in the group you registered for will be posted here a few days prior to event date. Want to know more details? Read our FAQ.

Aid Stations: 1-2 located on the course.

PLEASE NOTE  that coolers or barbeques are not allowed within the main event area.

Spectators: Spectators will be FREE for this event, but you MUST RSVP in order to reserve your seats.  Click on the yellow Register button above to reserve your seats now.  A limited number of luxury suites will be on sale for group purchase during the Spartan Race.

How does it work?

Register as a team and add members! The more people you can get to join your team, the more money you will get back in your pocket! We will give you a percentage off of your registration fees. So you will be rewarded, before you even finish the race.

How many people are needed to make a team?

Teams are unlimited with a minimum of four people! Team members are timed individually and are not required to cross the finish line together.

Which team takes home the prizes?

The fastest 4 times of the team will be used to calculate the team's finishing time. Prizes will be awarded to the team who finishes on top! Interested? Learn more here...

Spartan Race is not only limited to adult fun! Bring the kids ages 4-13 who can participate in their very own Jr. Spartan race. They will enjoy the thrill of the run, a variety of scaled down obstacles and their own mini festival area filled with games and children's challenges! Our mission is to inspire children to develop a love for fitness at an early age.

 

The course is about a 1⁄2 mile filled with junior obstacles for Jr. Spartans and 1 mile for Varsity Spartans. Each child will receive a T-shirt and Finisher's Medal with 100% of the Jr. Spartan Adventure proceeds benefiting the Kids Fit Foundation.

 

As a leader in the movement to help children learn life-long health and fitness habits, the Kids Fit Foundation strives to raise awareness and develop programs that educate, empower and inspire kids to become and stay fit.

 

Spartan Kids’ heats go off between 12pm and 1pm.
